[Answered] No response from Support Ticket.
Hi there.
We've been struggling with moving our site from the old host to Surpass. Things were looking like they were moving along, but then we had no response on our ticket today. We sent in our reply over 8 hours ago with the details Surpass asked us to obtain from the old host, but then heard nothing. It's becoming pretty urgent that this issue gets sorted out, or we're going to have to renew our account with the old server. On top of that, we've been unable to access the cPanel on our Surpass account. It worked to begin with, then disappeared. We're kinda stuck in the middle, here, with only silence for company. The clock's ticking - is there something else we should do other than keep asking for updates on the support ticket? We don't want to open another one and clog up your works if we can help it. Thanks for your expediency in helping us resolve our problems. |

Not trying to be rude but we are on a huge deadline before our old host subsrcription is expired. We have already had three days of delays because of them, but we need to move this fast as possible.

Looks like 3rd level support is on the case. Everything seems to be progressing nicely.

At this point all seems to be moving forward - though i want to reiterate that so far it hasnt been surpass's fault our old host (which is why we are leaving) has just given us one delay after another

The problem in your case seems to be that your account is really, really huge. It's taking quite a bit of time to get it copied over from your old host's servers.

It looks as though everything's got moved and restored, but we're still having a problem.
Despite several posts on the ticket informing us of our username and password, we don't get a response from the IP address given to us by Surpass. We can't access the cPanel, webpage or ftp - it's not a question of what the username and password are, but so far Surpass don't seem to have quite understood what we're getting at when we say we can't access our IP address: http://66.7.214.164 The server doesn't respond. Same for FTP and same for cPanel. Please help! It did work, at the very beginning, then after the first attempt to restore our site backup (which failed because the backup file wascorrupt - not Surpass' fault) that IP address has only returned blank pages. In a VERY short time, we'll have to renew our account at the old host jsut to save our data and if we have to do that, we may as well just stay there. Surpass have been absolutely great in helping us backup and restore our site, but we can't get any action on this server problem. If it's us that's doing something wrong, PLEASE let us know and we'll happily apologise - just don't send us another email informing us what the username and password are. We've got nowhere to enter them. The server doesn't respond. |
