Well, I would suggest a reseller account, but it's practically the same as a shared account, since they are both shared environments.

So, I would say going with a VPS account probably would suit your needs.

"A VPS is like a shared account since many VPS accounts are hosted from a single machine. Unlike shared hosting, a VPS is unaffected by the other VPS accounts running from the same machine. Since a server with lots of CPU power and memory can be shared amongst many VPS servers, the end result is a low price with the security of a dedicated server." http://www.surmunity.com/search-me/2...explained.html

Not only that, but you'll have much more control as if you had a dedicated server, which helps you hammer down on security better.

If you have anymore comments or questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you! =)

I would also recommend a VPS. If you don't have any memory hogging applications, it should give you a nice, private environment to run your e-commerce website.

Thank you for the replies, but I can't afford an VPS hosting now. What would be the next choice?

Well, like I said above shared and reseller plans are in the same environment, the only difference with a reseller, you are able to host multiple domains with their own Cpanel and settings, but if a neighbor on your server is abusing resources or the like, your site can be affected.

As for security, on any plan you are able to purchase and use an SSL certificate, which I would highly suggest getting if you plan to open an e-commerce website.

So, it will depend on my luck to have a good neighbor? On average, the performance of a Reseller hosting is better than shared hosting right ? As for SSL, I plan to get one, but there are so many and I have no clue which one to pick.

Some reseller customers have had different luck. Myself I haven't had any downtime with my reseller account since day one and i've had it about a month now.

There is no hardware/performance difference between reseller and shared. So, yea I suppose it would depend on your luck, but for reassurance, I myself have a reseller account and have yet to experience any downtime, but then again my shared account is the same way. It all depends on your neighbors and yourself. Its just a chance/risk you have to take. That is why for e-commerce sites with recommend VPS and dedicated accounts.
