[Answered] Your favorite subject: Reseller!?

I’ve been reading the forum for a few days now trying to get comprehension on the reseller accounts and I think I get it now (because after reading all the post I can tell it’s annoying to get repetitive). Unfortunately there are still some questions (maybe a little more looking for opinions) that I have.

(This is more of me thinking out loud…) I don’t really get a lot of traffic to my sites, never have, probably never will, but who knows so my concern is I’m on a server with all these other people and my site eventually gets some downtime because of them. And I know if it was vise versa it would be my fault but I highly doubt that’s gonna happen…Anyway this kind of makes me concerned about getting a reseller VS a shared because I’ve had 2 shared accounts on here before and never noticed any problems with them. But I don’t want to get a bunch of shared accounts when I can easily keep them organized on a reseller…but I also don’t want to get one and have a bunch of problems. Do resellers have more issues than shared normally?

If I don’t decide to continue with multiple sites and want to downgrade back to a shared can I? Or will I need to create another account?

I’m not currently interested in actually selling space but in the future if I do is it really worth it?
I was thinking about this and it just seems like anybody who is looking for a host (unless they know about you ahead of time) would just Google it and go into something more “legit“. How do you get customers? Even if it was just $2 a month I still don’t see how they wouldn’t just come to like idk..surpass? Lol

I’ve been with surpass for 3-4 years now but I’m currently site-less. I’ve been shopping around for a new host but I don’t want to find out the grass is greener, so why ruin a good thing? I miss you guys!

I have a shared account and a reseller. I haven't noticed much downtime with either one and I got monitors tracking uptime.

Some people have more luck with reseller accounts than others I would say but overall I think surpass keeps them up pretty well.

Now about how would a reseller customer get space over more legit company.

Well you make a very good point here and I can see why somebody would choose a legit company over some little reseller account when the person running the reseller has less support, can't fix the server himself, etc.

Anyways I'm not sure how to answer a reseller getting customers since I have issues getting them myself. Good thing I got a lot of domains to make my reseller account worthwhile.
