Hello, me and a couple of friends are looking to buy hosting here but we have a questions. The plan is that one of us will pay for a couple of months on a lower server plan and another one will take over the payments and upgrade to another plan. The only problem is we don't know how the setup fee will transition between the 2 plans. Is it once we pay the setup fee for the first plan we don't have to pay it again if we upgrade to a different package, or do we have to pay the setup fee for each different package?

Very good question...

Depending on what server plan you are getting, shared, reseller, vps, or dedicated. There are several answers.

For shared through VPS there is no setup fee. So you would have no problem upgrading.

If you're going dedicated there is a one time setup fee if you want to pay less each month, if not then you will be paying a little bit more. When its time to upgrade the specs of your server, again it depends if you wanna pay less or more each month. We are currently look at dedicated server packages.


Also to clarify by upgrade I mean completely switching between dedicated server packages not individual hardware upgrades. As in we pay for SP23 for X amount of time but then we decided to upgrade our package to DP20. So what we were asking is are the setup fee a one time fee per package or per account.
