I'm sorry! I meant to reply but looks like I got distracted after the first post I made after your last one. :o

If you use an email client, you can set rules to delete any message with a subject containing words such as 'enlarge' or 'meds'. I have set up 1 rule, and I add words to it. You'll soon knock out all the spam that comes in, usually. With a rule like that, you can make it so all of the spam determined by that rule goes into Deleted Items.

Spam Assasin will determine what messages are spam and tag a message into them (also blocking any attachments). You can make a rule for those as well. (Text in the body containing phrase "Spam detection sfotware running") Then make the rule move those certain emails into Deleted Items/trash.

Our servers also are set to block any attachments immediately (the email will get sent back to the sender, bounces) such as .exe.
If someone wants to send you a file, and you know what it is, it might be blocked on our server because it may be a file normally used to transmit viruses. The person will have to zip up the files that they want to send you. Some don't like doing that, but the persons who don't mind outweigh those who do... and it works out. :surmunity:

As long as the emails are not over 30 megs (I believe that is the limit) in size, it should work. Files larger than that need to be transferred utilizing FTP accounts.
