considering you guys

I am currently hosted on one of Equivity.com's resseller plans, but I am not happy there, they keep changing/raising plan prices without any notification and I don't really feel the friendly atmosphere the way I do here. But first I just have some questions about surpass..

1) i know whm autopilot is $18 per month but do the plans come with regular whm?

2) do your plans come with free SSL? what do i do about ssl certificates for myself and clients?

3) i was told to visit scripta's individual sites but what programs come with scripta and how many? It's not listed on the site?

4) what is dedicated IP used for and does it come with your plans?

5) what OS is run on the sever?

6) I have 2 domains I would need transfered here how much will it cost?

7) Your prices are great for the amount of features is there anything that you do not offer (or something extra that you do) that equivity does/doesn't? equivity's plans it seems you offer the same features for a lot less (besides fantastico).

I just want to get all those questions out the way first you can also throw in any other reasons why you think surpass is better than equivity and why i should move

-Thanks!

ps: i think it would be good to have a demo of scripta or cpanel on the comparison chart

Wink Re:

Yes all reseller accounts come with WHM

2) do your plans come with free SSL? what do i do about ssl certificates for myself and clients?
They come with shared SSL, private SSL is available for a fee

3) i was told to visit scripta's individual sites but what programs come with scripta and how many? It's not listed on the site?
Actually it's listed on the site goto http://www.surpasshosting.com/?x=scripta

4) what is dedicated IP used for and does it come with your plans?
It does not come with the plans but is available for $40/year I think.

5) what OS is run on the sever?
Red Hat Linux (The best)

6) I have 2 domains I would need transfered here how much will it cost?
$15.99/domain for most domains

7) Your prices are great for the amount of features is there anything that you do not offer (or something extra that you do) that equivity does/doesn't? equivity's plans it seems you offer the same features for a lot less (besides fantastico).
Nope. They offer the best! Scripta is just surpasses version of fantastico only it WORKS!

Thanks for your response,

so what is a dedicated IP used for exactly and if you could point me to a location on the site that gives the price that would be helpful. How did you find that link some links are hard for me to find here I'm used to seeing the privacy and tos on the bottom of everypage but I don't see it here

also its been brought to my attention that you guys don't offer overselling? so how do people here split up their packages? I just did the math for 50 megabites of space but I'm not sure if 500 megabites of bandwidth would be enough for some people?

a good place to look for links is in the sitemap of the website. they have a lot of stuff there. I believe you can find the cpanel demo on their home page too, correct me if I'm wrong please.

also, I don't have a lot of answers to your stuff, except your last one. The extras:
Customer service, it's just incredible. you email them, and sometimes within 20 minutes, you get a detailed response from one of their great representatives, such as Emmanuel, great guy (he's probably getting tired of me saying that too). Also, something else I have never seen is a company with forums that are as friendly and helpful as these. you can get good viable responses within minutes sometimes and I have never seen anyone make fun of someone else. Another great thing they do is contests. They have them all the time. stuff for extra bandwidth (going on right now), ultimate surpasser contest (they had great prizes, plus 3 free years of hosting) and other things of the such.

I know that doesn't really answer your questions a whole lot, I just thought it could be another factor for you.

- Dale?

Hello Angelic!

welcome to our site first off all

The only reason you would need a static IP is if you want SSL

other then that, there is no other real technical reason to have one.

You can be cool and have an ip that will show your site but thats about it :jester:

We have our own data center and I think that is a big bonus since we do not rely on a 3rd party to check our server if there is an issue

http://www.scriptainstaller.com will have 55+ scripts very soon same thing as fantastico but much more :surpass:

Best of luck in your search

Hmm One question from me.. If i get a dedicated IP for my reseller-account.. Will it make me able to make people go to http://myservername.mydomain.com:2082 instead of http://yourservername.yourdomain.com:2082 for cPanel??
Never asked about that before.. Still confuses me why.. lol

no but what you could do is just set up a subdomain with a domain and say its your server or http://yoursite.com/cpanel

so anyone can tell me how they split up their space/bandwidth since there is no overselling? 50mb space and 500mb bandiwdth? 500mb bandwidth seems little for 50mb space don't you think? I'm not sure
