Dedicated Pre-Pre-Sales Questions
Now that I am back up to 4, count them 4 paying clients, I am looking into a dedicated server. As Mr. Zig Ziggler said "I'm the kind of guy that will go out in a rowboat fishing for whale and bring along the Tartar Sauce!"
So, besides being able to screw-up... I mean run what I want, what else is different if I upgrade from a reseller to a dedi? What do I take for granted with a reseller that will not be there or cost more on a dedi? The CPanel monthly fee means that all of my accounts that I resell will have CPanel available on a dedi, correct? What are the usual goofs, gaffs and  that newbies run into with their dedi? If dedi leasees have telephone access to Surpass Support, why are they always on the forum? Shouldn't it be: Hello - I'll take care of it right away - Goodbye? What does phone support cover? Is it 24/7/365? Do the dedi's come with backup or raid drives? What is the charge to restore a piece or all of the data? If it comes with an 80 Gig hard drive, how much is actually usable for resale purposes? Is it better to have upgrades done on sign-up or wait until they are needed? The link to the dedi user manual is not working (says there is no file). Will I get a photo of the server to put up on the fridge?

Thanks Unleashed for the answers!
I'm now wondering about Scripta. If I'm not mistaken, Surpass is developing that to be sold to other companies, as well as for the use of Surpassers. Will it still be included in Cpanel with a dedicated server?

But how will we know that they are really our servers? They could be total strangers like the family that lives in my wallet!

I was hanging out in HostHideout.com (saw someone named Kayla there once)
and the conversation got into back-ups - RAID and otherwise. I did a search of Surmunity and found several threads such as this one were back-ups were a major issue. So now I am wondering what Surpass does as far as back-ups, how often they are done and what is optionally available, both in reseller and dedicated servers.
