Hello,

I've recently joined and I want to upgrade my hosting package to a reseller account for the sake of convenience. I posted some questions, thereby creating a support ticket this morning but am yet to get a response. Normally it wouldn't worry me yet but I'm in a bit of a hurry and was wondering if someone could look at it.

Just in case I'll also post the questions here.

I would like to upgrade an existing Power hosting package to a Bronze
reseller account. I'd also like to purchase the WHM full licence and have
it installed.

Just some quick questions:

1) If I purchase the WHM licence, can that then be transferred to another
host should it happen?

2) Do I get a downloadable program?

3) I currently have the domain www.abc-example.com I've also just
purchased a new www.xyz-example.com I want my reseller account to reflect the
new www.xyz-example.com domain. I'll then transfer the www.abc-example.com
domain to a package I'll create there. Is this possible? Or doesn't it matter?

4) Is there a cost to upgrade my existing plan?

If ageeable to the answers to my questions what do I need to do to get this done and when?

Any help appreciated.

1. Yes, WHM AP can be transfered to a new host with all your packages etc.

2. Downloadable program? No, you don't... unless you mean something else... I think you mean WHMAP

3. Yes you can create an account for that domain.

4. No, everything is free.

What I mean't by downloadable program was that the WHM Auto program. If I buy a licence do I get a program to store offline incase I want to upload or transfer to a new host. Don't get me wrong I don't want to run 2 licences or anything I just don't want to fork over $200.00 AUD and lose it is all.

If the upgrade is free great, I guess it's just a matter of waiting for Surpass to get to it I suppose. Fingers crossed.

You get a WHM AP License key.

You can install WHM AP by downloading it from their site (its a trial) and then enter your license key to unlock it.

Or we can install it for you for 19.99. : )

I've started the ball rolling with the reseller account and will look at my options for management. WHM Auto certainly sounds like the best automation tool though.

I should clear up the fact that I currently have a Power hosting plan. This is directly managing the www.abc-example.com website.

What I want is to upgrade my Power Hosting plan to the Bronze Reseller Plan and have it managing my new domain www.xyz-example.com instead.

From my understanding only Surpass can make this change for me. Kayla has asked that I register for the Reseller account and she will look after the accounting side of it. I've since done this and responded. Now I'm just wondering what I need to do to have the rest happen?

Boy you guys are quick. A guy could get used to this! Thanks a lot. I'm usually patient but this is a first for me and I've been commissioned for a couple of jobs. Kinda excited and a little scared that something might go wrong LOL!

What do you mean exactly by the rest of it. The account upgrades will happen as Teq is taking care of that and as for the registering of the other domain in your reseller account you will get instructions for that in the welcome email on how to create accounts in WHM. And like Teq also said you will get your key for WHM AP so once the account is ready just follow the instructions that sales will no doubt send you with the key.

I dont think there is anything else to do other than wait ...
