Teq, Surmunity has to be pretty demanding resource wise, could a large shared account handle it?

Good point BassDaddy but if all he wanted was to host the one site for the same price as Silver he would get Max on the Shared and get twice the space and Bandwidth. But if he was on a resellers server would he be able to put a little more strain on the server as it is a reseller server with less people on it?

If it were me (and it will be soon), I would invest the money into a dedicated. Use what you need and resell the rest, that way you get to decide what is being run on your machine. Quote:

the problem with dedicated is that it's too expensive. i'm paying this completely out of my own pocket.
i actually don't use much "bandwidth", just resources. i was hoping that since there are fewer sites on a reseller server, then i would be alotted more resources. note: punkdmb.com is on a reseller. |

I was wondering the same thing. Sometimes I have 30+ members on my forums (hosted somewhere else) and I would love to move here, but the dedicated is too expensive. *sighs* I guess I will have to stay where I am at for now...
What are the prices for Semi-Dedicated? I've looked around, and I think I might be blind or something. haha ![]() |

30 guests on a message board should not be a problem for a reseller account or even shared hosting.
What becomes a problem is when you have 'web board games' and lots of files to download... John

he reason why I might not move my site here, is I want to make sure I am doing this right. If I move my site here and it's too much for the servers...why put all that stress on me, my hosts and "neighbors"....my site gets tons of visitors daily. 800 different IP's have been logged (that is the daily average)...well that is what my other host is saying. I just want to make sure when I make the move it's the right one. Ya know what I mean.
So what about the semi-dedicated server prices? Is there a page for that? |
