Well, honestly I know that Surpass's hosting price is fairly cheap. However, how come the domain name registration fee is quite expensive? There're plenty of other domain registrars who provide one year of domain name registration for under $10 or even less.

I'm not complaining tho, I'm just kindda curious.

I suppose it's all about profit. If they don't make any then we lose out on the great hosting. You're at liberty to buy elsewhere, but for ease of set up many people register domain names here. If you want to register 30 then it makes sense to do it elsewhere, if you only want one or two then the hassle of having them somewhere else might not be worth it.

They may be more expensive, but it probably works out to 50 cents an month for the domain name. They'll be more helpful in getting it set up too ..... that only makes sense.

It is a little bit more expensive but you also get more services, first of all the DNS are automaticly the good one if you register the domain with the plan at the same time. If you take it at surpass they can also give you more support than if you take an other registar that does not have any business with Surpass. Some costumers also like to have everything under the same company like me I think it is less problems especialy with Surpass!
