Got a question about e-mail
Ok, lets say I bought the deluxe plan. 7 gigs space and 75 gigs transfer. Would it be possible to sell e-mail accounts from that account? Like 50 cents a piece for 10 megs of space or something? Has anyone done this?
Sorry if this is a stupid question... I know some things and then there are other things I'm just completely blind to. |

You could do that.
![]() I don't have any advice as how to set it up, etc. because I haven't done that before. I'm sure someone will come along with some experience. :read: |

Alright, well as long as I can do it. Couldn't I just go into the mail manager and create the accounts as people wanted them, manually? Yeah, it'd be harder to do, but that's one way if someone dosen't come along with some experience with this.

You could, but you'd have to figuer out how to bill the people, etc. and the mail quota's don't always work... for example I just notice that I'd set a 10mb quota on an account and it has 29mb stored in it..... with no warning message and no 'lockout'.

You could always buy HiveMail, it looks almost like Hotmail and allows users to sign-up. Then you could charge them

Do you have a link to hivemail?
*Edit* NM, how could I forget about google... lol *Edit edit* That's a tad expensive... wouldn't horde work just the same? (I think that comes pre-installed with the packages dosen't it?) |

well, it's the Cpanel quotas on email that don't seem to work.... nor is there any way to administer the quota parameters - i.e. do you send an ALERT email when they get to a certain %, or whatever is to happen when they hit the lid....
