We have Linux servers... we don't run ASP on them. Yes, we could but it proves difficult and is not completely stable. ASP should stay where it belongs and where it was meant to be, at least that's what I think.

Sorry, but let us know if you have any other questions.

The upside is that they do support PERL, PHP, and MySql.

well that would probably be one of the few forums to use in asp. not that i have used asp but i do find anything and everything that i need in php format. also after running on a windows server for a while there were a lot of drawbacks that would outweight asp enabled as a deciding factor. Many windows servers dont support gd or imagemagik or md5 if a photogallery was wanted. i think youre best off with an account on a linux server way and above a windows 2000 or .net server

My personal opinion is to avoid everything Windows-related with regard to servers. Use Linux/FreeBSD/OS X/Solaris, Apache, PHP/Perl/Python/Ruby and/or MySql/PostgreSql. ASP/Windows is an utter waste of time, imo. It's proprietary and generally more costly, insecure and less stable.

Windows is for games, nothing more.
