I hope ya'll don't mind, but I'd like to throw in another question.
If I didn't get WHM AP, is there still a way for me to manage my hosted domains? I don't have the money for WHM AP or anything of the such really, but I still need a way to manage the domains. Dedicate space/bandwidth etc.

- Dale?

WHM does that.

You make packages - defined by bw/mail accounts/ storage/ etc... tons of parameters... then you assign new accounts to those packages.

Very simple.

MY question though is: can I create accounts, designate Email, space and BW without WHM AP? Do I NEED a program to do this for me or is there something built into my cpanel for it?

Hey Dale!

When you get a reseller account, you get Web Host Manager included. This is where you set up packages, such as Package 1 is this much, Package 2 is that much, etc. Then when you sign people up, you go into WHM and create an account and designate which package they will have.

If you are going to have more than a few websites to deal with, it's the only way to go.

but I only plan on hosting my sites, sites for family/friends and the people that I do free sites for (churches). I really on't have the money for WHM, I need some sort of alternative.

WHM and WHM AutoPilot are two separate things. WHM is FREE with your reseller account. It is how you manage the other domains. WHM AutoPilot is NOT free, and it creates accounts automatically for you. You probably don't need WHM Autopilot if you're just doing those friends and family like you said.

WHM is free. The Auto Pilot part is what costs, if you want it.

EDIT: Elle, quit cutting in line. :lol3:
