Thinking of making the switch...

I've been with Total Choice Hosting for eleven months now and think they're great. Like anyone else with a site I check out what's going on in the web hosting world via forums like webhostingtalk.com; in fact it was there I ran across a thread discussing Surpass Hosting.

The reseller prices look good; I can pay half of what I pay TCH and get more space and bandwidth. And since TCH uses Cpanel all my domains can be moved over intact.

NOW -- someone convince me why I should make the move. To be honest the reviews I've read concerning Surpass are mixed although they lean more towards the positive.

Do you own and manage your own equipment? What is your relationship with Hostdime? I was with them briefly a year ago but due to poor support and constant server problems I left after a few weeks. I even dropped by there yesterday but their forums are down. From what I've read elsewhere, however, things have improved at Hostdime.

Can Surpass give me the same quality service TCH does?

Existing clients, can you chime in with your experiences both positive and negative with Surpass?

I've been with 4 hosting companies in 7 years.

Surpass does a great job adressing things - though they also have some 'growing pains'.

I'm sure that your move will be basically flawless, they do own their own datacenter, and they do have good service.

If it's half the price as your current host, how much additonal 'trouble' are you prepared for in exchange for the added profits? 10%? I bet you'll get less.

Surpass has had issues. But they've responded to and fixed them very quickly.

John

Surpass is great! Iv'e only been with them a few weeks now, but customer support is the best part! The most Iv'e EVER had to wait for a response was like a day. Ussually it's more like 10 minutes hehe. And they always help till the problem is fixed, they're great, and this is who I'm sticking with.

Nothing to stop you moving over a site or 2 to test the water. Means paying for 2 providers, but if you want to be sure, give it a go. Surpass offers a 3 month money back guarantee.
