2 domains on a dedicated IP

Q. I have a reseller account and am interested in getting a dedicated IP address for the main reseller site and a second site. Just 1 dedicated with for the two sites. The second site/account is on the same server.
My questions are:
1. If the reseller account gets a dedicated IP, will I have the ability to assign the same dedicated IP address to the second site using WHM?
2. Will I have the ability to assign additional accounts to the same dedicated IP?

Answer from Sales.

Hi, I am sorry but you will not be able to setup all of your accounts on a dedicated IP. You would need seperate IPs per domain. Thanks.
Q.Can I purchase 1 dedicated IP and have the two accounts I mentioned previously assigned to it?

Hello, You would need 1 IP per domain. So no you could not put two domains on the 1 IP you purchase. Thank you.
While I can understand that it may not be policy to allow me to assign my sub-accounts at will to the new IP. I'm not sure that getting a second IP for a second site is reasonable, when it's not necessary. It is necessary for the first, for future SSL and other needs, but the second is just to make things simplier for me. Has anyone ran into this problem before?

SSL is bound to DOMAIN + IP. SO you can't have more than ONE domain on an SSL linked IP - at least not directly. Surpass provides us with 'shared ssl' on the servers, but you'll note that it is NOT accessable by domain name, only by IP/~user/

You may only have one SSL site on a single IP, but you can have many virtual hosted sites on that same IP.

This depends on whether the SSL site and the virtual hosted sites are on the same IP. Try this link https://freemanonline.net/~freemano
