Where can I find phpinfo() ?

Nowhere in any of the sales info or knowledge base can I find a link for the output of phpinfo() I need to check the configuration before I can sign up for any hosting account.

I suggest that your sales pages get update with a link to a top-level file named "phpinfo.php". Inside that file place the following:
PHP Code:
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
Most quality hosting companies I've researched follow this practice whether they provide a link to it or not.

So how do I view the PHP configuration for new hosting accounts?

Thanks.

question: if they don't provide a link how do you know they do this?

we've always encouraged customers to play around with phpinfo();

however you do raise a good point. perhaps we could add this to the demo server.

Simple, I just tack on phpinfo.php at the end of the top-level URL and viola! Up comes the PHP configuration.

That's fine for existing customers but doesn't help POTENTIAL customers since they don't have access to a Surpass server

That would be very helpful. Many people who use PHP to drive their web sites need to know very specific things about its configuration before they can commit to purchasing a hosting plan. Is SAFE_MODE enabled? What version of GD support was compiled into PHP? etc, etc.

Thanks for listening.

I wasn't asking how to do it.

I'm asking how do you know that a potential host you are evaluating does this if they dont provide a link to a file. merely quoting you.

In any case I'll see what can be done about adding that to the demo server.

Also, if you could keep all your presales questions in a single thread going forward.

And of course, you are free to email any questions to presales.
