We use 2checkout, they are very popular so support is usually quick if we have issues with a bill. We also like PayPal. It is good to have at least 2 options for customers.

Authorize.net from what I hear is the best. You can get it for free (meaning no fee or deposit), I have seen the lowest per/purchase rates so far with them. Also, all transactions are done in your name, not theirs. Like with 2CheckOut, when your customer is billed, on their credit card statement, it says 2CO or 2CheckOut. With Authorize.net, it will say "Bob's WebHosting" or whatever. I don't use it yet though. I'm waiting for some more info from another company but it's looking like I'm going with Authorize.net.

Also I have PayPal of course. That's pretty much standard these days. I know a lot of people who are singing the "PayPal Sucks" song (yes, I've seen the post on the forum) but if you don't like it, don't use it. I've met people who won't do business with you unless you use PayPal. So I have it just in case you know?

Since I do business with primarily small businesses that I am personally in daily contact with, I allow mail-in-payments, as in checks. But surprisingly, I still don't get a lot of those. People have really opened up to online credit card shopping in the last few years. They practically will ignore your site if you're not able to provide purchasing with a credit card - as if you're small time or something.

You can only purchase it through a reseller. When I purchase it, I'm going to do so through Emax: http://www.emaxhosting.com/merchant.php but there are others.

I'm sure you're correct on that point, but it boggles the mind.

And I'm glad to hear people are getting down with online transactions. If I could just get my landlord to get over his insistence on personal checks....

# Per Transaction: 2.35% + .35
# Monthly Statement: $10
# Monthly Gateway: $15

Fees for using eMax (Authorize.net)...
25$/month... Not bad.

I would have used it if it wasn't for the fact that you need a US Bank-account and a US Social Security number.. (Me being norwegian)
ARGH!!

Anyone know of a similar company operating outside USA?

And. Btw. I use both PayPal and 2CO atm. Works fine.
