i wanna be resseller but im just wondering this

i want my own domain as www.mydomain.com however when people buy hosting off me i want they dns as www.mydomainhosting.com

is this possible with surpass?

another question, wud i be able to have a php chatroom on a resseler account

the php chatroom works from a file, all the chat loads from the file every 10 seconds

its really for support only so it cant waste too much resources, can it??????

The ban on CHAT scripts is for 'community scripts'. I think that a 'one at a time' chat might be ok. I'd check with support before installing it though.

You might try making mydomain.com a general account, with a link to webhosting, bringing the user to mydomainhosting.com, and then the NS would be mydomainhosting.com :hrrm:

naaah, i was thinking of that at first but then mydomain.com account will be sharing with all the rest of the accounts

i wanted it to use my own 7GB and not from the 7GB i resell

You can do that.

Surpass will permit you to have an ADDON to the main space in many cases. So, for example, you want to have your site dedicated to the beautiful Jessica Alba, and you figure that it will use 4-6gb per month. You could do that as an ADDON to your hosting site, which will likely never use more than a few GB per month unless you have a massivly graphics heavy site.

basically.

You can have Surpass set your custom DNS servers to whatever you like almost.

So, lets' say you have this busy personal domain, but it only uses 4gb or so of transfer every month.

You also want to resell hosting.

So, you set up your "Main Domain" to be your personal domain (i.e. carcollectors.org ). Then you have surpass make an ADDON to be the 'hosting company site'.

The reason to do it this way is because you'll more likely make subdomains and such in the "personal" domain, and Cpanel can do this automatically for the main domain. Doing so for the 'addon' is more difficult.

So, the 'personal domain' becomes "public_html" in your account, and the hosting company becomes "public_html/my-hosting-company"

Does that make sense?
