Pipe FTP Issues
Ticket Number: CLN-384024
This ticket has been open since the beginning of the year now & hasn't been resolved. I've just being pushed from department to department & getting 'help' saying it's just something wrong with my ISP. Well if any admin is able to check this out, it'd be wonderful. It's something along the lines of AU IPs time out when trying to connect to /public_html/ or lower through a FTP client but I've narrowed it down because when I used a VPN to connect via a US IP, it was all fine & dandy. Just seems like I'm getting unhelpful answers & doing the support here ![]()

How is surpass supposed to fix this?
It wouldn't be a server side issue it would be a local issue. Maybe I'm missing something

No port blocking.
I just find it strange that I'm able to log into the account but if I try to access /public_html/ it times out. So it's not a problem of logging in. :/

I have a customer with a similar problem, she can ftp connect using her PC (as can I) but, if she tries using a mac and the exact same credentials she cannot (and dreamweaver is on the mac.)

I am running on a Mac but honestly didn't have a problem till this year.
Nothing prior to that. I can login through the File Manager built in cPanel though.

Try toggling between Active and Passive modes. Don't allow the auto mode.

It's always been set to Passive mode.
What's strange is that this didn't happen before, it just happened all of a sudden & I'm not sure why. I'm going to have to check with my ISP sometime to see if anything has been changed on their end.
