Unhappy FTP does not work

Okay, I searched every topic on this and I couldn't find anything, so forgive me if someone has already posted on this. I searched in good faith!

I have a bronze reseller account, and none of my ftp accounts are working.

it says something like, "connection failed. cannot log in"..

all the passwords and ftp info are correct, but it won't log in.

i've tried to ftp using windows and smartFTP.

i can access my cpanel and upload files from there.

my webhost manager domain name expired. i can only access it using the raw number address (i don't know what it's called). but it's at: http://66.195.17.52

my domain names include:
http://www.paradise.nu
http://www.crush.nu
http://www.adiore.com
http://www.cabreralove.com
http://www.caribbea.us

i don't know how to submit a ticket. if you can tell me how to do that, i'd appreciate it. thanks

top of the page on the right side there's a link to get help from the support center.

scroll down the page and on the left side you'll see a link to email support.

also have a look at this page:

Pass8 (72.29.75.207) : Resellers

to me it looks like the ip has changed and you need to start using the new ones listed. but I could be wrong about that.

^ nope. that did not work..

and tech support is not being helpful. they told me to use a different IP address, but i don't know what that means. it might work for my webhost managet account, but i still cant upload to any of my individual accounts

when you open ftp to connect to the server, the hostname is the ip that you use.

try using this ip instead of the one that you're using now:

72.29.75.207

if that doesn't work, you can also try the hostname of:

domain.com ( or whatever your domain name is )

also make sure that the passwords are right.

I am also having problems logging in with my FTP client as is 2 of my customers. I started having problems about 12 hours ago and it appears to be intermittent - meaning sometimes I can connect but most of the time I and my customers can't. We are having arount a 25-30% success rate

I find your above comment very hard to believe as I have had troubles with ftp and stuff only a week ago and they responded within minutes of my support ticket and had the issue resolved within the hour. i for one cannot understand how surpass technical support is not helpful at all or either the other members here. All they have done is try to helpful even with your comments on how "unhelpful" they are.

All I can say is perservere you must be missing something here as I find its always a small thing that is causing the problems maybe you could look at your ISP maybe there blocking certain ports on your connection.

I can only suggest are you using your main account address the one that you access your Web Host Manager as your host name?? For example my main account is www.insane-space.com so I use that as my hostname i have never had a connection problem.

Or you may try using a different FTP program such as command or WS-FTP Pro

This is all I can suggest but all I say is be bit more patiant and considerate instead of telling how useless tech support is be as helpful and informative as you can be and I am sure they will go out of there way to satisfy your needs I would be quite surprised if they were unable to help.

Oh one more thing might be small but I noticed it stated this in your ftp log
