Re: pass45 load

I'm dead in the water at the moment... Can't access cPanel or WHM. Tried cPanel from my main site and from a clients area. It ain't working.

Got this about 30 minutes ago...

Hi,

One of the users were abusing the server. We have suspended the account and have bought the load back to normal now.

Removed the ip of the offender for their protection ...

Please verify.

Ticket updated again. Fortunately, I've only got a few clients on this server and I know them all. They're starting to ask what's going on. I'm in the process of moving them one by one to another location.

I'm going to have to drop this account when I get them all moved. I know Surpass is trying but my clients are suffering and my first loyalty is to them.

Re: pass45 load

I have asked to be relocated to another server, and they told me they would be moving me to one of the new servers. Hopefully it does not take too long. My clients are also asking questions, and after 2 days of being down, I have run out of answers. It is a shame that Surpass will not keep us informaed. If they fixed the problem, then why is the server still down?

Re: pass45 load

I'm the Network Administrator down here in Henderson and I know troubleshooting can be problematic on a network with many users. I know they must be pulling their hair out.

I finally got into cPanel and it was bleeding red so I know they're working it.

Re: pass45 load

Supposedly they are moving me to Pass 54. I am hoping that PHPsuexec is not implimented on that server. I have come from a host that implimented PHPsuexec, then due to so many problems, and server complications, they6 had to revert away from it.

When a server initially has phpsuexec compiled, no problems are reported because everyone on that server is new and they are new accounts. They are used to the setup from the start.

It's just a different and more secure way of running PHP, there can't really be any server complications. If anything it helps the server become more stable. This is very evident on our new servers.

Older servers that have to be converted are going to have issues with scripts since it's a different set up. All are easy to fix, mainly issues with permissions. But Pass45 isn't running phpsuexec and won't be for at least a month or two.

You should read the PHPsuexec announcement again because it lists what servers have PHPsuexec already..

Re: pass45 load

Actually, I was expressing my experience with my previous host. I can assure you that more complications can arise than just permission settings.

If you read my previous post, you will see that I AM being moved to a new server. I know that setting up a new site on a server that already has PHPsuexec is usually fine, but that is not the case with me.

I am moving 20+ complete websites to one of the NEW servers. My concern was any complications I may run into moving to a server with websites that have scripts that are already in place.

Arrow Re: pass45 load

Per Kayla instructions from: http://www.surmunity.com/showthread....199#post152199

This morning showed a green board.
Right now server status reflects a failed ftp daemon and imap.

Guys I really do appreciate your help, efforts and expertise.... We're all in this together.
