I saw this post and thought maybe i can help? If i understand correctly u want like a subdomain type of name yet with own cpanel and stuff.

I did this. If i create my domain name, for instance discover.za.net ,now thats my normal domain. I judt go to whm and create like

user.discover.za.net

and i get my own cpanel and acc for that name. no need to register a domain name. infact i have lots. I have the domain
forums.za.org
if i give my clients a pre installed forum, i just put a name infront, like
raaa.forums.za.org


Work like a charm. Hope thats what u meant and that i helped with something.

^^ i think they were referring to creating a sub-domain for a non-existent domain name.

I'd be willing to give you one of my domain names for free... (donotdigg.com or cowsource.com)... shoot me an email misterAMD bogeybrandon(at)gmail.com .... it's not like Im ever going to use them again.

I don't care if it's for you or one of your clients just let me know and i'll make the transfer sometime today.

I have so many domain names under several registrars... they just rot.

sorry my English ain't very good. but why would anybody wants to do that?I can think if they don't wanna spent money on a domain name, but the method like i use is for free.

Oh well, guess we'll learn something new each day.

I'm not sure the method you are referring to is what they are trying to do in the thread. My offer still stands, I am not using the domains and i never will again so if it can help someone else, i'd rather it did instead of just rotting.
