Can I do it?

Can I create an account WITHOUT a domain name, if they intend to only use the FTP aspect of it? (private home use website, they don't want to register a domain name with it).

You can always just use a made up domain, will still be able to use the ip-address/!username/ to access anything, as well as for ftp, just using the ip as the host

Well, I can't create the account without a domain name. WHM comes back and tells me invalid domain name. I don't see another option to do it with?

Use a subdomain of your main account.

Ok, figured it out. I was creating the subdomain in my CPanel before I did it in WHM and that obviously doesn't work. Gah. Thanks for the replies though.

Yeah, I probably should have clarified that. I blame it on my extreme rage towards GoDaddy. Glad you got it working.

I want to know who the woman is that advertises for them on her site. She's been there forever. I wonder if maybe she's Bob's wife or something. Personally, I find her much more attractive than Candice (Godaddy girl from the commercials).

Above not recommended because:

I tried that and not long after had the server suspended by admin for bandwidth hijacking.

A domain name can be under $10/year.....don't be a cheap charlie..buy one.
