I check occasionaly and the server seems to be aroudn 5.x-ish constantly. I'm not too worried as my sites seem to be responding ok. I just want to make sure that this load issue is not cause by me. Is there a way for me to see what my hosts (and hosted clients) are costing in server resources (CPU/mem)?

Thanks again.

pass61 is a busy box. I know that I have been increasing the number of domains I host slowly (only up to 5) but none have more than 5 hits a DAY. That isn't to say that one of installed scripts hasn't been compromised.

I do know that Joomla keep complaining that "PHP register_globals setting is `ON` instead of `OFF`" but that isn't something I have control over and I have no idea what would be affected by turning that off.

Part of the joys of shared hosting I suppose. I usually only worry when it hits 6-7 or when I can't get to any of my sites. That seems to happen around 7. It also happens in spurts. Nothing wrong for a few months.... then Surpass updates something (like the PHP update) and it breaks EVERYTHING so I jump through hoops with support for a week before they find and fix the problem (this was Feb some time I think).

Not sure is this is unusual behavior / a fluke of the update that pass61 got updated incorrectly, or if there was some other underlying problem.

5 hits a day is NOTHING... you dont are the problem i think... but in the signatures of the users i see servers "passX" to have load 1.x max 2.x and pass61 4.x or 5.x so isnt nice that techs put me on that server...
