Question concerning phpinfo

Does anyone have XSLT installed/enabled on their shared servers? I have it on one but the others I don't have it and I asked support to look into it and if possible add it to Pass64 and All I got " We have standard settings configured for php in shared servers. Altering these settings will effect the server wide settings. If you need custom settings , it is advisable to go for a dedicated server."

Why would they have it on one shared and not on others. I checked all 3 of my hosting site with the phpinfo and 1 has it, the others don't. I heard this was a standard feature with php as well as XML since they work hand in hand from what I understand.

Sorry of I am out of line, but I am confused and searching for answers.

If I am wrong please advise.

Thanks much in advance.

I don't see it as out of line. It dose beg the question though. How can there be a so called "standard" if it is one one and not the other. That person just made them self look stupid.

For they either have no clue or did not read your ticket.

But then it could be a over sight. That happens too. Over looking the obvious or something said. Earlier I asked for a person to post a ticket number. Duh it was in the post subject line. lol

Maybe rephrase the question and ask again. If you get the same generic reply you know my above statement was right. lol

i had the same deal recently lol... got the /same/ reply regarding expat

On all the shared servers we are keeping a common and stable configuration for proper functioning of all the sites hosted in the shared servers. You can view the modules and extensions supported on the shared servers from the link http://adepttechs.org/phpinfo.php. We can't allow the php extension you specified on a shared server while you can do any custom settings on a dedicated server.

IRONICALLY

If i recall the system did have the extension, but the modernbill installer didnt pick up on it, or atleast thats the conclusion i believe i came to. I think I needed v2 and they were running 1.x Anyways I bypassed the requirement and i hope i dont have issues.

And yes, it looks like I have xslt on my shared account.

So it seems like they have a standard response to that question without even looking as to whether it *should* be installed, or someone is installing this stuff for someone.

Also funny, is the mention of the ability to run special configs on a dedi, when i first read it i thought it was simply because i had 2 and thats why they mentioned it, but now it looks like it was a sales pitch?:P
