Wow thanks guys I was starting to think i was hallucinating the problem and was about to head out for some more xanax LOL j/k

Heck i wouldnt even have a problem if they told me it was my own Cron process on patentlystupid tripping up the server. Just so long as we can figure out whats grinding it to a halt.

No, you're not halucinating.
Pass 61 - one minute the load will be 2.9, 30 seconds later I can't load the Cpanel status page or my websites... and it's not my computer! I've tried from 3 different 'networks' (thanks to my work VPNs...) and the clients computers too - which are in a completely different county...

It's new.
It's not the "norm". the issues seem to be that Surpass generated a lot of new customers with some sales. Some of those customers are not "good neigbors"...
Additionally, on some of the older servers, it's likely that some scripts have been exploited and are causing spikes... Some "resellers", myself included, don't spend a TON of time looking through old business. When the customer calls with a problem, we react...

The issues with Pass 60 seem to have been MOSTLY sorted out.... the average LOAD is higher than I typically would hope for, but pass 61 is really hacking me off.

Hmm sounds like a good time for a topology change.

Internet to router to two switches, one switch leads to majority of network and stable long time customers, other switch goes to new sales under 60-180 days old. Granted that would still likely stick me with the n00bs but in the end it would provide some isolation and security for the old timers.

Yeah it has come down, but it has spiked as high in the 20's and then it went down. Support has restarted Apache and others, but since it is still spiking and dropping. Support notified me telling me they are passing this onto Level 2 Support to see whats up.
