There are other various issues as well.

So even though this is a dual core, dual CPU server and the best in its class - if power hungry sites are not constantly monitored and moved, there will be problems; we try to take care of this as quickly and efficiently as possible. Although it is hard to keep all parties pleased on the server, because if we suspend accounts and force moves, we have bad service for doing so in their eyes.. but if we don't then 100 others on the server think we have bad service and have no idea why.

Probably not sold more than any other server, just over abused by the users on it.

I surfed to CNN.com, DSLReports.com and my new host after I couldn't connect to Surmunity and had no problems. I came back and tried to preview again and the same no response before it finally worked.

No.. didn't say that. We operate our own data center and have no need to oversell servers, we put up a new server every 2 weeks.

There is a constant need to move some sites off of shared servers though due to growth - some cannot stay on shared forever. Servers never have problems without reason, there's always a good (well.. not really "good") reason.

The slowdowns that Pass69 has had are only really coming to light for me now (wish they had earlier - I guess the worst part was happening now) - and after I move the main site in question the server will be fine.

The slowdowns have only been occurring in a certain time frame it appears - as of right now the server is completely normal for example.
