Just a though about new reselling accounts

Just registered for a new gold reseller account here at surpass and I'm surprised to see that custom name server with corresponding IPs are not listed in the account information email and even more surprised to see that I cannot modify the default account features (like parked domain, quota, bandwidth, etc...) as the main account is not even listed on "Account Information > List Accounts" within WHM. I do have 2 reseller accounts on 2 different hosting providers and both custom dns servers and the ability to modify the main account settings are available "out of the box".

May I ask if this is a surpass choice or just a matter of configuration?

I did open a ticket requesting the custom dns server and also for the account modification, indicating it is not listed in WHM. Answer below:

You cannot edit your own reseller account. You will need to create a new account under your reseller account which you can modify settings for. Think of the reseller account as a container.
I'm quite confused as other hosting services settings are different.

There's two ways to do it:
a) Your primary domain is owned by your primary domain, which allows you to make changes to it.
b) Your primary domain is owned by root, and you cannot make changes to it.

One of Surpass's features is that your primary domain is hosted "for free". Essentially, any space and bandwidth used by the primary cPanel account is not taken from your total pool of disk space and bandwidth -- therefore, you have more space and bandwidth to resell.

If you'd rather it be owned by your account and not root, just let support know and they should be able to change the ownership for you without any problems.

many thanks for clarifying, removed, much appreciated. I will ask support to add parked domains as it is the most important need.
