Bandwidth limit warning users?

Hi,

It's been a while how are you?

Actually it's been a while since i've really used the
whm allthough i do look in on clients now and then

I forget how to check how much space is used up,

And one of my users is at 100% of their monthly band
Is there a way to auto warn them they've reached their
monthly bandwidth limit? or do i warn them by email and
suspend them unless they upgrade? that sounds wrong..

Any tips please

Well, they should be able to check their Cpanel's and see where their limit is at. Emailing them a warning sounds like a good idea, makes them feel like you care about their site's well being...which any customer would love. =)

If its an on-going thing, then you should suggest to them to upgrade.

I thought WHM automatically sent out an e-mail when you're close to reaching your limit? I could have sworn I've recieved one from myself before, lol.

Could always test it out by creating a fake package will REALLY low bandwidth and test it out by using your own email address. If it does and that client knew that, then I would suggest again to either email him about to upgrade or cancel his account...of course this is all up to you, you don't have to go to that extreme. =)

Yes i remember receiving one when i reached a limit, yes i think it might have
been an account i cereated for myself in whm...

Actually he's a tattoo artist who saw some of my work and wanted a simular
style cms customised, so i did and he paid and i hosted him, 2 years or more now
Last year he was auto billed by paypal as that's my setup, he then rang me and said
those ba****ds billed me for another year, i said what do you expect, you have to
pay your yearly hosting costs for whatever package you signed up for.
So he then said, that site is gone now no more, but he had someone else create a
parked domain and set up a new site but still using the saame hosting space, fine..
So as far as im conserned he is obviously getting traffic to the site i built for him or
to the newer site he has set up, so i never shut their hosting account, bill due soon.
I think one main problem was i built it, spent some time showing him how to use the features
in the cms and then left it at that, he was thinking my servises were included to maintain it for him..

Like what would you tell them, please consider upgrading your bandwidth or
we will have to suspend you untill the following month?
I do everything manually due to lack of skills and help to set up an auto hosting site.

OK from what I think I get by what you said,

This guy bought hosting from you so you could create a customized CMS for him. He's had it for 2 years or more now and was surprised to be billed for it last year, saying that, THAT site is no more? So he just thought he had paid for the customization of the CMS and not the hosting space, which he still uses correct?

I don't know why you would have to suspend him for going over his bandwidth limit, does it not just reset the next month? You can suggest to him to upgrade to a higher package so that problem won't happen again.
