Pass61: Everyone Check Your WHM - Mine is toast

I had a client who's domain quit responding after the server hardware swap (ticket #ZSA-671493).

Then I noticed that the domain actually wasn't even in my WHM any more. It was just "poof" gone.

So since this was a brand new domain and I had done very little work on it, I figured I could just create a new account for it BUT...... WHM lost track of ALL of my package information. All my carefully portioned package levels, settings, etc are gone. Of course to create a new account in WHM you have to select a package, but there aren't any! (support ticket #BAT-278228).

Soooooooo may be I should have backed up WHM (if there was a way to do that) before the move.

Anyone else noticing WHM amnesia? I'm dead in the water here..... my client needs their domain back or I need the ability to create a new package. Either way requires WHM to get un-fricked.

I must say... whatever it is that rsync does, it doesn't get my vote for accomplishing the server swap. How can an entire friggn domain go missing along with all my packages, and a server swap somehow NOT catch that? Honestly! That.... I mean, it defies explanation. Either someone ran rsync and ignored the differences, or someone just didn't even run it.

Bueller....... bueller?

I'll 2nd robinson.jason's post above. I just looked to see if my WHM on this server was intact and the packages are also gone.

On some accounts, some domains were missing. We need to know which ones, via tickets.

SnakeMan, what is your current ticket ID, or if you make a new ticket, please update here so that I can have someone check it.

Hi Kayla. I never submitted a ticket and I just checked and my package setup is now available from my WHM so there is no need to pursue this anymore.

I have 2 OC 10s on pass61 and managed to fix most of the issues except 1 account is missing and opened a ticket for it.

Ticket #TGG-514955

The server still seems to be very slow and most of my customers are still grilling me for time-out issues or not being able to access their sites or emails.

I hope this will be all resolved today.

I am also still seeing POP outages (currently it is flashing red in the status web page of cPanel) and PAS61 is still very slow with loads over 9.

Soooo I still want to know how the "rsync" process leading up to the server move could have missed copying entire domains. This doesn't seem like it should be possible!
