Change Premissions: Operation not premitted
one of my clients wonts to change premissions on one of hist files ( index.php file from template for joomla ). And he can`t change it. I try and i get the same error: 'Operation not premitted' what can be the problem and how can i or he change the premissions form 644 to 666 or 777 ? And what can be the problem on the first place so we can`t change the premissions

Sounds like an 'Owners and Group' issue, check 'Get info' after highlighting the file, in your ftp program, if the install was from Fantastico or such (not manual install) then the server sometimes sets ('owns') the ownership as itself for the files/folders and won't let anyone change it, you'll have to contact support if this is the case.
