WP 2.5 Internal Error....

More of a heads up rather than a problem.

Having installed WP 2.5 on the server for testing and installed fine (out of box) with no problems and running great for a few days then tonight it throws out an 'Internal Server Error', mmmm!

Quick peruse of forums here and nothing much to get, to solve problem, so as a first measure just deleted .htaccess file and like magic all back.

Obviously (or probably ; ) a WP issue and not a server one me thinks! (I've also changed the 'php configuration' to PHP5 and all fine with no hacks!)

As an aside, I was surprised to see that the Fantastico installs now includes WP2.5 as it's an early release and still not stable or bug free. (Doesn't directly affect me as always manual install)

Just thought I'd pass the info on in case anyone else....

Regards

What's the URL of the Internal Service error?
You might have to turn off mod_security

I've been running WP 2.5 since the first day it came out. I haven't had any issues yet and I upgraded from the older version with no hacks.

The URL with the problem was:

OP©P

I have a Gallery2 test install as well on the same server and that was fine, it was just a problem (glitch!) with the .htaccess file for WP, after deleting I just reset the 'Permalinks' in WP and now all is fine and the .htaccess file is as it should be.

I've never had any problems with WP installs here or on other server (from v2/2.5) I use, maybe I'm lucky or know more than I think I do

[Note to Moderator/Admin - Apologies, this should be in the 'Shared Hosting' Forum - It's 2am here and my eyes are too blame!]

I already have:

<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
SecFilterInheritance Off
</IfModule>

In the wp-admin .htaccess file, thanks anyway.
