Well, whatever the problem was seems to be fixed now as your sites load up quick for me. =)

If you continue to experience any problems, please do not hesitate to post here.

Hello,

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

There was an error in the apache configuration causing it to fail to start. This has been corrected and the server is responding normally now.

Please let us know if we can assist you further.

Regards,

Craig

Its not necessarily us (Surpass) making the change to the Apache configuration, because if we made a change that broke Apache, we would fix it immediately. What happens, especially in reseller servers, is that a WHM Reseller would terminate an account which could cause this problem. The reason being is because terminating an account requires a modification to the Apache config, and sometimes (few and far between) a line will not be deleted that should have been, causing apache to fail. Some of the common lines left are User names and Group names, which would cause apache to say something along the lines of "httpd start failed, invalid username on line xxx".

Either way, we try and monitor these services as closely as possible, but still appreciate you reporting any issues to our forum or our help desk.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Maybe this falls under the same problem?

Randomly today (customer called) and said that they no longer have a website, I checked and the domain root folder is now wrong, but all the other accounts on the reseller package are fine. I couldn't find a way to change this myself.. any help?

johncraigauction.com is the domain..

the domain root used to be /public_html/ or /www/ and now its: /public_html/www/
