PASS61 slow as slug (again)

loads were hovering around 19 to 13 the last few times I checked. It is taking about 2 minutes to load a MySQL backed site. Please find what is causing these load overages.

Anyone else enjoying the World Wide Wait on pass61?

Argh, high server load and can't connect to FTP again. Why does this always happen when I'm updating?

Frick. What the hell is it with the accounts on this server? I'm experiencing several minute load times.

^ Same, I can't even get to my files and after I just updated my phpBB3 my templates got a bit messy and I can't even download the files so I can fix it.

Frustrating? VERY.

Edit: and now it's completely down. Wonderful.

One of the main drives went bad -- said drive was replaced, and is being rebuilt via the RAID controller now:

Code:
Port Status Unit Size Blocks Serial
---------------------------------------------------------------
p0 OK u0 698.63 GB 1465149168 5QD27S51
p1 OK u0 698.63 GB 1465149168 5QD22B8V
p2 DEGRADED u0 698.63 GB 1465149168 5QK01NEC
p3 OK u1 698.63 GB 1465149168 5QD271KN
It's at 6% so far, so it's going to be a bit longer before everything's A-OK again. Sorry guys!

Progressing slowly but surely:
Code:
Unit UnitType Status %RCmpl %V/I/M Stripe Size(GB) Cache AVrfy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
u0 RAID-5 REBUILDING 13 - 64K 1396.96 OFF OFF
u1 SINGLE OK - - - 698.481 OFF OFF
13% done as of about 2 minutes ago. The process seems to be speeding up, but it's bound to slow down again due to different file sizes on the other drives. A large collection of small files will take longer to transfer than a large collection of large files.

Slow and steady:
Code:
Unit UnitType Status %RCmpl %V/I/M Stripe Size(GB) Cache AVrfy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
u0 RAID-5 REBUILDING 48 - 64K 1396.96 OFF OFF
u1 SINGLE OK - - - 698.481 OFF OFF
Unfortunately, there really isn't anything we can do to reduce the load. Moving files around like this is going to cause high load no matter what we do to try and prevent it.
