Pretty Permalinks Problem With My Reseller

On my reseller account, every time I install WordPress thru Fantastico and would use the pretty permalinks I always get an error stating "Not Found

The requested URL /2008/05/11/hello-world/ was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.".

I guess the .htaccess aren't updated automatically. Just to be able to use pretty permalinks I have to manually update .htaccess which is quite pain in the neck specially I managed a couple of accounts. I only encounter this problem on this server. I also have a shared hosting account with Surpass and pretty permalinks work flawlessly without the need to tweak the .htaccess.

This is true to all the accounts under my reseller. When I tried to set-up a new account on my reseller, I still experience the problem.
