Continuing problems on Saprus
I am getting repeat, serious, unresolved problems on Saprus and will be posting in this thread as a record of what's going on.
Currently cPanel Server Status shows Server Load around 18 (RED), and Disk /dev/sb1 (/backup) 100% (RED). It has been this way for the past 2 hours. I submitted support ticket FNW-520430 2 hours ago. At times, Saprus-hosted domains are totally down even though tracert appears normal.Last week I submitted support ticket VGE-749396 with the identical Saprus problems (high load and /backup full). The week before that I submitted support ticket BEO-141711 with the identical Saprus problems (high load and /backup full.) I was told the problems had been fixed. Based on past experience with SurpassHosting, I am expecting this problem to go on for weeks. I am not happy. Can I get a high-level admin look at this problem?

We have taken care of the high load on Saprus. One of the forums hosted on the server was being attacked by a spambot, which resulted in mySQL bogging the server down. We currently have a tech watching over the server to prevent this issue from reoccurring.
Once again I would look to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and I appreciate your patience. Hmmm... I have just learned that it was one of MY reseller clients on Saprus that had his unattended phpBB forum attacked by spambots. (I think he installed a test installation of phpBB, forgot about it for a couple weeks/months, and it filled up with 10's of thousands of spam messages.) Hopefully shutting it off will fix the loading and /backup disk issues.

Unfortunately I'm not at the office, so I do not have access to the ticket system. Has your issue been resolved by one of our other techs?

Saprus hosted websites are back up and server load is low right now. My forum sig here shows the current load status (or nothing at all, if the server is unresponsive.)
I'd like to know what the root cause of the outtage is. I do not want this to continue happening.
