pass11 php

Since the upgrade to php5 all php website don't work anymore!

I tried to set the default php to php4 in the cPanel and also tried to add an .htaccess file in /public_html with the text:

Action application/x-httpd-php4 /cgi-sys/php4
AddType application/x-httpd-php4 .php

But also with no effect, every php site is getting the error:

500 internal server error.

I mailed support 5 hours ago, no respond yet... Surpass something went very wrong with the update!

Seeing the same thing, tried the same things earlier today. Just got back to start looking into it.

There is This Post, which says that php.ini is important, and more details to come soon, but - no more details since the post, which was back in January.

I've now put a ticket in as well.

I'll update here as soon as I know something.

I'd think that if this was a common or regular thing WRT the server upgrades, there would be more information/posts regarding it here on the forums. That leads me to believe that something else has happened.

Bummer - pass11 has been doing excellently for some time now.

As far as it looks like Pass11 still may be undergoing the upgrade. I am contacting the admins now to get an update for you guys...

Admins have just given update and let me know PHP engine upgrade and auto-fix permissions scripts have been completed. We have checked 30+ sites on the server and they are resolving properly, but if you are still having trouble please post your ticket ID's so we can assist further. Thanks =)

Looks like all is well now, awesome. I will keep an eye on it over the next couple of days and will let TS know if I see any irregularity.

I had to change my .htaccess file "ForceType application/x-httpd-php" directives to "SetHandler application/x-httpd-php4"...

Don't know if that would help your situation...

How were site admins notified? I missed any notifications - My site monitor alerted me this morning...

Also, my PayPal subscription for payment is listed as "cancelled" - should I be worried?

Re: 'site admins notified' - I received an email from Surpass approx 2 weeks ago that the upgrade would take place yesterday, if that is what you were asking.

If you meant 'system admins' instead of "site", then they were notified by Grant in Surpass Tech Support after he saw at least my ticket, and possibly ddouma's, and likely determined that the issue was one to be dealt with at a different level than normal TS.

Re: PayPal - is that the payment for your hosting, to Surpass? I think that something there changed a few months back; I did have to go in and edit my payment info last month (IIRC), as the change apparently kicked me out of auto-billing.
