Question Bandwidth over on some sites, not others

I have more than one site running and the bandwidth, while okay overall, is running high on 2 of the sites. How do I balance the bandwidth between them? I don't see where on the c-panel that I can adjust bandwidth between sites, only view the bandwidth.

Thanks,

On a shared server? No there isn't. I would suggest trying to see what is causing the high bandwidth usage and see if there is a way to calm it down a bit. You can view who links to certain files from your Webalizer/AwStats features in Cpanel. Sometimes people like to direct link a little too much.

How do I determine what is causing it? These are all my stores and I'm the only one who views the c-panel.

Well in a way, having a high bandwidth usage is not always a bad thing. As you know, or don't, bandwidth is the limit of data transfer, so if you have a lot of visitors to your site and connecting to it at the same time, of course the bandwidth will spike. In a sense thats a good thing for you!

Now one way you can check to see if there is a bad cause to your spike in bandwidth would be to check the webalizer feature within cPanel. Click on a certain month and then scroll down to see the refers. Sometimes, these sites are direct linking an image or file on your site, which causes extra bandwidth to be taken from your server. Also you can see who links to your site, which adds adding traffic to your site (not always a bad thing unless its coming from a spam site)

This is all I know on how YOU can check it out. You can submit a ticket to the help desk and see if support can give you a better report. =)

I believe if you look at AWStats it has a list of files that are most hit and show the bandwidth used.

Yea, works the same as Webalizer, except shows the "percent" and is better to look at. =)

You can also look at the latest visitors to see what images are being hotlinked from other sites (if that's the case). If you could provide me with the two domains (and your main domain) I can check for you if you'd like.

Thanks, I'd appreciate the help. The site that's running over the most is "Soccer Player Soccer Store Soccer Girl Soccer Boy." and the second is murdermysterymadness.com

The main site is Specialty gifts,Jewelry,Christian jewelry,Dogs,Tennis apparel,Tennis gifts, Cheerleader gifts, Soccer player gifts, golf gifts, softball gifts, artwork.
