Email and Setting up accounts

Hey Girls and Guys,
Ive signed up for my reseller hosting package and have been emailed my login information. I have tried setting up an email account but couldn't get it working. Which incoming and outgoing server should I use from the two given options.

Also i want to create another account to host a new website that I have yet to purchased the domain name. Can i purchase the domain name through surpass or do I need to buy from somewhere else and then transfer it across?

Cheers.

If you created the mail account in cPanel, you will use mail.YOURDOMAIN.COM as the incoming any outgoing server. Ensure that you fill in the part that asks if your mail server requires authorization for outgoing mail. And replace YOURDOMAIN.COM with your actual domain.

As for registering a new domain, it does not need to be transferred to Surpass, you just need to set the nameservers to the correct servers that were included in your welcome emails. You can register them with Surpass, but you don't have to.

I am unable to access your main site. I assume you just purchased the domain when you ordered your account. It can take up to 72 hours for the domain the propogate globally. Generally it will be accessible within 24 hours, but it can take UP TO 72.

So you will need to wait for the domain to propogate to your ISP before you will be able to use your mail program. In the meantime, you can try to use the Webmail interface (yourdomain.com/webmail) but your mail may not be delivered if the domain is not propogated fully.
