What are cPAddons?

Under software / services. There is an icon that says site software. When I click on it, it says No cPAddons configuration found. Please contact your host and ask that they configure cPAddons. Just wondering what software they are refering to?

I thought cPanel add-ons were things like Fantastico. I think if you log into WHM, there is an add-on section there as well and Fantastico may be listed... I could be wrong, though.

CPAddons is Cpanel's own try to deliver populare scripts to be easy installed, just like Fantastico, but Cpanel is not updating the scripts as often as Fantasico does, so enable theese would be a security hazard as old scripts often has alot of vulnerabilities and bugs.

There are only 3 scripts in Cpane'ls CpAddons that don't exist in Fantastico ( AgoraCart, Advanced Guestbook and cPSupport)

All the other allready exists in Fantastico.
