if you can't tell ive been hitting my site hard in the last few days, just got back from vacation, in order to get all the layout and stuff how i want it. for the next thing i want to be able to have the contents of table cells change based upon a javascript command. i tried giving the table a name and the cell<td> a name and calling it by document.tablename.cellname.value="whatever" am i missing something, waht should i be doing instead? is there perhaps another way to do this?

thanks in advance surpassers :surpass:

from the webdeveloper forums i got my fix. for the curious here is the answer.

you give each cell you want to change an id as such
<td id="cell1">

then you reference it as such

document.getElementById('cell1').innerText='blah'"

that was easier than i thoght
