I believe the server admins have installed the patch, thats why the servers can run it.

Hey! A friend is trying to install it for me at http://heartsache.org and we are having the most aweful trouble. We keep getting error pages, but running the diagnostics and repairs show that everything is properly chmoded and filepaths are correct. Can anyone help? We have already asked SurpassLive about it, but we still need help. Can someone who has installed it successfully on the surpass servers tell us what we are doing wrong?

Ok! Now, my friend has figured it out. I made a subdomain (aptly called gm) and she installed it there. It works that way, just call to the blog page from the page that you want it to show up on. If you need any help, ask me! I'll do my best.

We knew about that patch, that is why we couldn't understand why it wouldn't work. I think it may have something to do with the .htaccess file. I mean, in a subdomain, there is no .htaccess and it would work. So, yeah. I don't know, but the subdomain works great. Like I said, I'll help if I can!

Well, I like greymatter just fine! As long as allie spent fixing it for me, you better bet I'll keep it for a long time. Besides, b2 sucks. Takes WAY too long to edit the templates to look right cause of the css and php.

CSS & PHP are not a problem with b2. Honestly. One template is all it takes basically for your whole site (archives will take on same template, as so will comments), and you just put in 'b2' code where you want your blog entries.

But hey, stick with what you know best i s'pose
