I know that is a simpleton question, but for some reason, when I put in:
http://sevenbadyears.com
I get to my website. But if I put in
www.sevenbadyears.com
I just get the file list of my website.
Can anybody help me figure this out?

Thanks

Typically www is just a subdomain/directory shortcut alias for your public_html folder so it shouldn't behave any differently than accessing it directly.

And I get the same result for both url's too.

I had the same issue when I moved servers. I think that in my case, it was because of a proxy server that is in use here at work.

http://www.surpasshosting.com/forums/index...date+do+you+see

I don't understand it either.

There are a couple of threads that mention this strange occurance.

BTW, your is identical both ways here.

It seems to me now that the only people that see these differing sites are the site's owners. Noone else is able to view the difference.

Yeah, thanks for the replies...

Probably about an hour after I posted, they were both working correctly. I think maybe since I had just switched to Surpasshosting the day before, everything was not "propogated" yet (whatever that means).

Thanks!
