You certainly do nice work.
You also made a good choice in CMSs with Mambo. I've found it to be the most configurable and feature rich out of the box system. There's a lot of neat stuff in it and I find something new each time I look! The editor is a WYSIWYG editor which you can edit either in html or not. There's a preview button in the editor that shows the output, plus it's enlargable (is that a word?). I like it because I can paste raw code in it then switch to output mode and edit it either way. There's also a replacement for the stock HTML Area2 that comes with Mambo that's supposed to be extremely feature rich. If I can offer any assistance with my limited knowledgebase (I've been using Mambo for about 2 months), don't hesitat to PM me here or email me via my webbys. |

Thanks again.... many years of design experience allowed me to be able to play with the template.
I will probably pick your brain a bit since CMS is totally new to me. I did actually install each and every CMS including PHPNuke and PostNuke, try each one and then uninstall all but Mambo. The rest were more than I needed. I also did upgrade the editor to the one you are speaking of. I wanted to see what it offered, but still just cut and paste from notepad to get what I want. But... the most confusing thing to me is Sections. How on earth do I just make a page? Seems I have to make a Sections, then a category, then an item just to make a page... then I can't link to just the page... the menu requires I link to a section... then there is a page of categories, then finally the link. What I wound up doing was adding a new menu item of Typed in and just did the hosting services page that way... Then along came the next problem... you will note two links for the Scripta features on the menu (once in hosting services) The page is too long, but in the print function, it looks great. So, I just linked to the printer friendly page. That's the one that opens in the new window. Then I went to the menu and deleted the link to the actual page... in doing that, it rendered the print version one useless. So now two links while I have been playing. How do you make just a page??? That is my biggest problem right now.... Thanks |

Two ways to get pages into Mambo that's I've found.
1) Use the wrapper component available here: http://www.jasonmurphy.net/ 2) Modules >> Manage Modules >> New >> Create The content, preview and set the settings - remember to publish. I used text formatting codes in the block titled "Birds" and they renderred properly, therefore I presume all markup will work. Here's a thread on the Mambo boards: http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthr...ght=text+block. I haven't figured out the title bar stuff yet, nor the clean url's but there's a setting in the Global Config area under content to make SE friendly URL's but I haven't played with that yet. |

Hola y bienvenidos a Surmunity.
Http://desk.surpasshosting.com/ translation below Hello and welcome to Surmunity. In regards to your situation, the internal server error can have a number of issues, usually the two top are in regards to your permissions set or .htaccess. If your permissions are currently set to 0777, there shouldn't be a problem since this permission lets the user, group, and other read, write, and execute. So this leaves us to your .htaccess, if you could locate that file for us and save it as a text file so that we may view it, we can help you see if this is causing the problem. Unless someone here on the forums knows a solution, I would also recommend submitting a ticket to the help desk. |
