I understand the frustration.

If the 'connection' goes down, and the router does not 'fail over' to alternate paths, nobody - and that includes dedicated, semi-dedicated, reseller or shared - even surpass themselves (surmunity was down as well) gets in or out.

It's a bugger of a problem.

Am I missing somthing? My traces look the same as always... still traveling the SLOW alter.net highway.

What causes the connection to 'go down'?

I'm on pass 3 and haveing the ride of my life. I can log into FTP every few minutes, but then immediately I can't do a thing and then I have to log back in after the server comes back.. and then after a few times of that it tells me I'm logged in too many times and I have to wait longer..

Customers don't care how good I say the host is... they want up time..

Only surpass can tell us this time - but we're on a secondary route right now coming in through ALTER.NET via Sprintlink. this is not my normal path to the server.

I know YOU understand the frustration... but I am not so sure Surpass does... I don't care if all of the OTHER servers go down... I don't care if SURPASS goes down.... but my CLIENTS care when MY server goes down....

I am afraid I can't wait for Surpass to "figure it out" because "it was unexpected" or "unusual"... I need uptime... they advertise 99.94% uptime... I haven't seen them change it based on what's happened this month.

I stumbled on some message board topics from a year ago... I had to laugh... they sounded exactly like what is happening now... same problems... same answers.

It really makes me wonder what, if any, improvements have or are being made.

It’s like every time I sell an account, things go down for a bit not even a good day afterwards. I agree with you all, I'm so paranoid about trying to boost my sales now because of this.

I'm so frustrated with so much that has to deal with surpass right now its not even funny. I'm seriously going to start researching other providers after this post.

I've sent two emails to Eman which I guess he never got, I can't get a hold of Kayla via PM or her email cause her pm's are disabled (which is her decision) and I don't know her email addy. I finally just forwarded the email to support and asked them to get a hold of Kayla or Eman for me. That was the 26th and I've still heard nothing.

I even asked for someone to take a look at some things on my dedicated. A little later I asked them if anything was out of place, they said it wasn't. Out of habit, I typed "last" to see if anyone else besides me were using ssh only to discover no one from support even logged on to my server.

Mad is an understatement to describe how I feel right now. We're 2 days until the new month where things are supposed to look promising, but ye faith is very little at this moment. Because of all this stuff, I don't want to pay for my month of service, while they get their stuff together. I felt I had no reason to try and grab that free month of service when we were down for 45 minutes, but now this is different. Not only do I want that, but I want to see some changes too. If it can't be done, then let me know and I’ll pack up and go some where else.

Every day almost a client notifies me that my server is down for some reason or another. It’s not rebooting anymore. I got 8 days of uptime going on now, but even still, there's some issue. Its great when you brag about how your previous experience has been with your current host, hoping that the current issues will NOT come up when you're signing up that new client who, ironically enough, is tired of unscheduled down time, lack of tech support, and just overall disappointed in the way things have been going in the past. Poor guy's first day on his new host and its down for who knows how long.

This may not be surpass' fault, but considering all the other crap that I'm going through, it only adds to the, "things that suck" list. I don't always want stuff for free. I have no problems paying for it, just as long as it works the way we both agree it should.

Kayla...you guys are seriously losing me here.
