I just moved to FL from NY. I have been doing a lot of uploads to my clients systems. Is FTP Slower lately, or is it because I am not in South and not near NJ.

It could totaly be me... Just checking..

Probably your ISP connection. I doubt location has anything to do with it. I'm in California and my FTP upload speeds are great.

I noticed that when I am logging in ftp that it takes quiet a while to connect. When I first got my reseller, it was pretty fast, but it is so slow now, that hostees email me telling me it won't let them in. I have to keep telling them to "let it set for a few mins" before it connects. And we are all over the world: america, hong kong and stuff and it is the same: SLOW.

Have you emailed support about this, what did they say?
I have no idea why it would be any slower, FTP is never really that busy on any of our servers, except for during the daytime for 3 hours usually, and it shouldn't even be slow then.

i have had problems with ftp logins for stuff like secondary directories on my site and for subdomain (which is a subdirectory... i know) logins... it just wont let people in... its not really a big deal though so i dont need to email support about it, but i just wonder why this might be sometimes.
