Could you help me a little bit more?

I've been trying to put a 'recent topics' thingy in my sidebar, but I just can't figure it out.

Also, I've a related topic thingy with my posts, but I really wanted it to be a link to the topic instead of the whole topic.

It's so easy to do, I'll wait for Kayla to post the tutorial. You can check out http://rummil.com ... it has a recent post list based on categories. There aren't many stories up yet because I just brought the site to life a couple days ago.
