[Tutorial] Transfer your WordPress.com blog to Surpass

Transferring a free WordPress account to your Surpass Hosting Account is easy. The terms used for transfering a WordPress Account is Importing and Exporting.
Exporting

To move transfer a free WordPress Account to a Surpass Hosting Account we must first Export it. Visit WordPress and login with your Free Account Information. Navigate to the blog name of your blog and click on it (just like you would normally when you want to manage your blog).
Look at the Navigation bar near the top of the screan and click on Manage:

The, Click on Export in the Sub Navigation:

You will then be taken to page that looks like this(in the section that says Restric Author it is best to choose All:

Now press Download Export File... as screen will pop up similar to the following asking you where to save the .xml file containing your Blog information (save it somewhere safe):

Once you have the file saved somewhere safe proceed to the Importing Step. A word of caution: Don't delete your blog just yet, you'll want to first import it into your Surpass Hosting Account and make sure everything is there before deleting everything.

Importing

Now once you have successfully completed the previous step (Exporting)... you can Import the file into your WordPress Account that is hosted on Surpass's Server. Now in order to Import that .xml file you still need to have an Installation of WordpRess on Surpass's Servers.
It is recommended that you Install WordPress yourself, but if you wish you can use Fantastico to automate the install for you.

If you have WordPress already setup on Surpass's Servers, login to your account and click on Manage in the Navigation Panel... and then Click on Import in the Sub Navigation Panel:

You will be taken to a screen similar to this:

Hit the Browse button and select the .xml you just downloaded. Then Click Upload File and Import. The next Screen you will see will ask you under what username you want the posts loaded under. It is recommended that you upload them using your administrative username so that you retain full control of them. Click Submit once you have chose the username to map your previous account to.

If all is well then you will see a screen similar to this:

If you are having issues importing your free WordPress account into your Surpass Hosting Account, visit Surmunity and create a new thread detailing the issues that you are having.

When you delete your free WordPress account you might lose your API key, needed for the Akismet plugin. I did that, and had to re-apply for a account to get a new key.
