[Article] Saving a PHP File
If you have never saved a document as a PHP file before, your computer may not be used to or recognize the format unless you force it to.
If by chance you have tried to save a PHP file before and instead of a text file with the name filename.php, this means that your computer does not recognize the format. You can get around this when you are in the save menu and have written down the file name (filename.php) below that box, click on the drop down menu that says 'Save as type' and then click on the option that says All Files. This will force the file extension onto the file. Another way is by installing an HTML editor program. It'll configure the settings and recognize PHP files and have them configured to open automatically with that program. |
