[Article] Widgets in WordPress!
In WordPress you are able to use widgets for the sidebar of your website. Most themes have this enabled so that you are able to edit the sidebar any way you like, while other may not. For now, let's pretend that you theme has this enabled.
Using Widgets In your WordPress dashboard click on the Design category and then the Widget link in the sub-navigation. ![]() The widgets listed are all default and at anytime you are able to upload more unique ones as you find them on the internet. Clicking the add link next to each widget will automatically add the widget to your sidebar and on the right side of the page for later editing. ![]() Once you have added all of the widgets you would like to show on your website, you are able to put them in order you like. ![]() And even edit them, such as the name of the widget to go with your website. ![]() While widgets are useful and fun, try to keep them to a minimal as too many can lag your website's loading time. Have fun! |
